The number of treatments required to see optimal results with SkinMedica® products depends on the specific treatment or skincare regimen you’re using. For in-office procedures using SkinMedica® products, multiple sessions may be required, typically spaced 4–6 weeks apart.
While most of our treatments have minimal downtime, some may cause temporary redness or swelling. You can usually return to work right away, but we recommend giving yourself time to relax after more intensive treatments.
Both SkinPen® Microneedling and Erbium Laser treatments involve some level of discomfort, but they are generally well-tolerated. The level of pain varies depending on individual pain tolerance, the treatment area, and the depth of the procedure. Your provider can discuss additional comfort measures if you are concerned about pain before treatment.
We provide you with medical-grade skincare products to help maintain and enhance your results between appointments. Our team will guide you on how to use them effectively to ensure lasting benefits.
Follow-up appointments depend on the treatment package and your skin’s progress. We recommend spacing treatments based on the package you choose, typically every 3 to 6 weeks, to allow your skin to heal and continue improving.
